A jury cleared a pickup driver of liability in an intersection crash that caused a woman’s death.
In 2008, Gloria Aguilera, 47, attempted to make a left turn when she was struck by Danny Blomme, who was going straight on the cross street. Aguilera died at the scene, leaving behind a husband and six children. Her son claimed Blomme had his cruise control set, which was imprudent. The plaintiff’s expert also opined Blomme had ample time to avoid the collision.
