An administrative law judge is hearing arguments in a hospital industry battle about new trauma centers, with hospitals in the Tampa Bay and Jacksonville areas challenging the state’s approval process.
Tampa General Hospital, St. Joseph’s Hospital in Tampa, Bayfront Medical Center in St. Petersburg and Shands Jacksonville hospital are trying to block the addition of trauma centers in Pasco, Manatee and Clay counties.
