In a 4-3 split Thursday, the Florida Supreme Court reinstated class certification for Safeway Premium Finance automobile insurance customers who claim they were overcharged.
Lazaro Sosa, the lead class representative, bought insurance in 2002 from United Automobile Insurance through its affiliate, Safeway, on contracts that renewed every six months. Each agreement included a $20 service charge.
