A companion lawsuit to a high-profile class action filed by shareholders of Fort Lauderdale-based BankAtlantic Bancorp against the bank holding company has been settled with both sides walking away.

“They didn’t get one penny,” said attorney Eugene Stearns, chairman of Stearns Weaver Miller Weissler Alhadeff & Sitterson and BankAtlantic’s lead counsel.
