Broward Chief Circuit Judge Peter Weinstein took over the top post July 1, and his new judicial assignments are sending Michael L. Gates into Weinstein’s civil court slot.
The order issued July 11 also made official what was already known about Circuit Judge John Luzzo. Having presided over no trials since moving to criminal court at the start of the year, he moved to family court.
