Gov. Rick Scott appointed Fred E. Karlinsky, a prominent Republican Party leader and insurance lobbyist, to one of five openings on the Broward Circuit Judicial Nominating Commission.
Karlinsky is a shareholder with Colodny Fass Talenfeld Karlinsky Abate in Fort Lauderdale. He is better known in Republican circles as a member of the national finance committee of the Republican National Committee. He served on the 2011 RNC finance transition team and was on Scott’s 2011 inaugural host committee. He also was a state co-finance chairman for the 2008 McCain-Palin presidential campaign.
