The Florida Bar’s long-awaited overhaul of its lawyer advertising rules has been sent to the Florida Supreme Court for a final directive, and law firms are weighing in.

The overhaul encompassed four years of committee study, public hearings, surveys and two studies done for a combined $23,590 by professors at the University of Florida and Florida State University. The Bar is recommending a complete rewrite of the advertising rules for lawyers.
