A Turkish resort filed a lawsuit against the Fort Lauderdale-based talent angency that represents Latin ballad singer Julio Iglesias alleging the crooner cancelled an appearance in Northern Cyprus but kept an advance payment for the performance.

Voyager Kibris, based in the Turkish Republic of Northern Cyprus, filed a lawsuit last week in Broward Circuit Court against International Creative Talent Agency (ICTA), which represents Iglesias. The two entities signed an artist performance agreement Aug. 8, 2010 for Iglesias to perform Oct. 16 at the Merit Crystal Cove Hotel in Kirinia, Cyprus.
