An Orlando federal judge dismissed a $200 million professional malpractice lawsuit Monday against a well-established Miami accounting firm by a liquidating debtor, concluding the complaint was essentially a stickup.

U.S. District Judge Gregory Presnell threw out the lawsuit against Rachlin Cohen & Holtz and senior partner Laurie S. Holtz, dismissing the lawsuit with prejudice. The lawsuit was filed in May 2008 against the Miami firm before it merged with New York-based Marcum.
