In his latest nominee to the Atlanta-based 11th U.S. Circuit Court of Appeals, President Barack Obama has found a district judge who has represented banks and newspapers, prisoners and battered women.
A federal district judge before he turned 40, Adalberto J. Jordán has presided over nearly 200 trials and sat by designation at the 11th Circuit on several occasions. A star student at the University of Miami, Jordán secured a U.S. Supreme Court clerkship with Justice Sandra Day O’Connor.
