Miami-Dade Circuit Judge Amy Steele Donner has resigned after 26 years on the bench, and Fort Lauderdale criminal defense attorney Raag Singhal has been named a Broward circuit judge on his 16th try.
Donner turns 70 this month and is ineligible to seek another term due to the state-mandated judicial retirement age. Donner said the state’s high court granted her senior status in August. Her division is considered vacant as of today, but she struck a deal to remain on the bench for a month or more — working for free.
