The 4th District Court of Appeal indicated Tuesday a decision on whether to reverse a Broward circuit judge’s dismissal of a $193 million judgment against a European charitable foundation hinges on how the appellate panel reads a 2002 state law.
The directors of the Liechtenstein-based Walanpatrias Foundation are resisting an attempt by St. Lucia-based AMP Services to displace the foundation as the recipient of a fortune bequeathed to it by a Monaco resident just before her death in 1999.
