The 5th U.S. Circuit Court of Appeals has upheld a lower court ruling ordering Lewis Brisbois Bisgaard & Smith to pay legal recruiter CB Legal Search $353,150 in fees for the firm’s hiring of a 12-lawyer team of insurance specialists in 2009.
The three-judge panel ruled Lewis Brisbois also must pay legal expenses incurred by CB Legal Search in the case, which began in Texas state court before moving to federal court in the Southern District of Texas.
