Foreclosures are picking up in South Florida a year after a “robo-signer” scandal significantly slowed processing down, according to a new report.
The number of foreclosure actions in the region — including new filings, auctions and lenders repossessing homes — totaled 8,199 in August, a 12.3 percent increase over 7,302 in July, according to RealtyTrac, a real estate data company.
