Riding a boom in financial services work, Miami-based Akerman Senterfitt posted its largest profit in its 92-year history, setting record gains in revenue and net income.

The midsized firm of 471 lawyers pulled in $258 million in 2011, up 9.1 percent from 2010, the firm reported on The American Lawyer survey of the nation’s largest law firms. Net income hit $93 million, an increase of 12.7 percent.
