Whether referred to as “fishing off the company pier,” “dipping the pen in company ink” or, my personal favorite, “swimming in the company pond,” there is no doubt that the office romance is alive and kicking in most places of employment — including yours. A 2007 Spherion Workplace Snapshot survey revealed that approximately 40 percent of U.S. workers have dated a co-worker and that another 40 percent would consider doing so.
