About 800 former employees of one-time foreclosure titan David Stern who claimed they were not given proper notice before being laid off have settled a class action lawsuit against their former boss for $500,000.
The settlement, which must receive final approval from a federal judge, calls for Stern and his former company, DJSP Enterprises, to pay the employees a total of $375,000. The plaintiff attorneys from Farmer Jaffe Weissing Edwards & Lehrman in Fort Lauderdale are in line to receive $125,000.
