In federal court in Fort Lauderdale, a jury found three Oakland Park men guilty of selling girls aged 14 to 17 — mostly runaways — to men for sex out of a house they dubbed “The Boom Boom Room.”

In West Palm Beach, two owners of a local staffing services company were sentenced to 78 months and 51 months in prison for holding 39 Filipino nationals captive in a Boca Raton gated community and forcing them to work at local country clubs and hotels.
