The Redwood City social gaming site RockYou Inc. has agreed to pay $250,000 to settle Federal Trade Commission charges that it failed to protect children’s privacy.
The FTC claims RockYou violated the Children’s Online Privacy Protection Act by collecting personal information from about 179,000 children without getting parents’ consent.
