Scott Rothstein said last December in his now infamous deposition how law partner Steven Lippman was one of a small circle of lawyers who knew intimately about his $1.2 billion Ponzi scheme perpetrated out of his once powerful Fort Lauderdale law firm.

But Lippman ended up being charged Monday in a criminal information with only a single federal campaign violation.
