Richard Sharpstein, one of South Florida’s most prominent criminal defense attorneys, will be joining Akerman Senterfitt to give its white-collar defense practice a boost.
Sharpstein and an associate, Ari Gerstin, will join Akerman’s Miami office Monday. Sharpstein and his wife, Janice, spent 10 years in Jorden Burt’s Miami office where he served as chair of the white-collar defense and appeals practice team. She is taking a sabbatical to attend to family matters.
