Florida’s unemployment rate fell to its lowest level in more than three years in March as the state’s economic recovery continued, though at a subdued pace.

The Florida Department of Economic Opportunity said Friday that the state’s jobless rate was 9.0 percent last month, a rate not seen since January 2009. In February the Florida unemployment rate was 9.4 percent, and in March 2011 it was 10.7 percent.
