Greenberg Traurig and one of its former shareholders apologized as she told a Miami federal judge that the firm made honest mistakes when turning over discovery to investors for their lawsuit against TD Bank over money lost in a fraud run by ex-lawyer Scott Rothstein.
The law firm recanted comments made by Boston attorney Donna Evans that a bank document titled standard investigative protocol did not exist. Greenberg was replaced by TD Bank as its litigation counsel, and Evans left the firm.
