A bankruptcy judge has dismissed an involuntary Chapter 7 case against the owner of a northwest Miami-Dade County shopping center, choosing to abstain from ruling on a case he said belongs in Miami-Dade Circuit Court.
U.S. Bankruptcy Judge A. Jay Cristol of Miami on Monday granted motions from C&C Development Group LLC for dismissal and abstention in the involuntary bankruptcy case. His ruling forces lender Branch Banking & Trust to pursue its foreclosure action against the company in state court.
