By 2015, Miami’s Design District could look like a hybrid between Lincoln Road — with its pedestrian character — and the Bal Harbour Shops — home to some of the world’s most upscale fashion brands.

Developer Craig Robins plans to transform four blocks north of Downtown Miami into a neighborhood retail center with two department stores and a plaza at both ends of a pedestrian mall.
