The Florida Supreme Court has issued two separate decisions promulgating new rules and changes to existing rules primarily affecting two litigation procedures: serving documents on parties and filing documents with Florida courts.

Regarding the service of documents on parties, Rule 2.516 of the Florida Rules of Judicial Administration has been created. This rule requires all documents that are required or permitted to be served on other parties to now be served electronically.
