The interest-rate rigging scandal involving Barclays Bank may trigger legal claims in Florida from large public entities or private enterprises prepared for pricey litigation.

A spokesman for state attorney general Pam Bondi said her office is examining the state’s possible legal claims against U.K.-based Barclays and other large banks that collectively set a benchmark interest rate called Libor.
