Dealmaker: Akerman Senterfitt Miami attorney Mary V. Carroll co-led a team that helped the largest operator of franchised Burger King restaurants acquire hundreds more, embark on a major remodeling project and borrow $150 million on the same day.

Details: Publicly held Carrols Restaurant Group of Syracuse, New York, closed a deal that increased its total number of Burger King restaurants to nearly 600, promised to remodel 455 of them within four years, and issued $150 million of six-year secured notes. The closing was on May 30.
