HistoryMiami has named two judges and five other attorneys as recipients of its annual Legal Legends awards.
Honorees are the late U.S. District Judge Joe O. Eaton; retired Third District Court of Appeal Judge Phillip A. Hubbart; Cesar Alvarez, executive chairman of Greenberg Taurig; Eugene E. Stearns, chairman of Stearns Weaver Miller Alhadeff & Sitterson; Cheryl Little, co-founder of the Florida immigrant advocacy center; 60-year litigator Irwin J. Block, who also serves as an arbitrator and mediator; and the late civil rights attorney Tobias “Toby” Simon.
