The Broward Circuit Judicial Nominating Commission is calling for applications to fill the position of retiring Broward Circuit Judge David Krathen, who is leaving the bench after nine years.
Gov. Rick Scott received notice of Krathen’s retirement July 30. Krathen told Scott he would make his retirement effective Jan. 7, but in a subsequent letter received Thursday accelerated that date to Dec. 31.
