A shopper who claimed she injured her back after slipping and falling on vomit at a JCPenney store was awarded $824,000.

Martha Collier was in the jewelry section of the Wellington store when she fell. She contended the color of the vomit blended in with the color of the floor. She claimed that there were no warning cones, flags or employees warning customers of the hazard. She testified that as she was about to step into the vomit, a store employee called to her to watch out. She contended this distracted her, causing her to step directly into the vomit.
