A University of Miami assistant football coach and part-time history student was wrongfully denied unemployment compensation after the 2010 season, a state appeals court decided Wednesday.

Mark Reese, who worked at the school in 2009 and 2010 and returned to the team this year as a graduate assistant coach, received no tuition assistance for his earlier coaching and was entitled to unemployment checks, the Third District Court of Appeal said.
