In a 2-to-1 decision, the Fourth District Court of Appeal on Wednesday reversed a significant portion of a $133 million judgment against Progress Energy Inc., with the majority finding error by the trial judge.
U.S. Global LLC, a Lighthouse Point-based company that had an agreement to sell interests in four coal-derived synthetic fuel facilities, won judgments on two agreements in a three-week trial before Circuit Judge Jeffrey Streitfeld in 2009.
