Prominent Fort Lauderdale foreclosure lawyer Marshall Watson, under investigation by The Florida Bar for lapses tied to the robo-signing scandal, has agreed to a 91-day law license suspension and the potential closing of his firm.

The Bar presented Watson’s conditional guilty plea for consent judgment to the Florida Supreme Court in December for the court’s approval. All suspensions of 91 days or greater require proof of rehabilitation and approval of the high court before a lawyer may be reinstated to the practice of law.
