Broward County agreed to pay $100,000 to a bus passenger who claimed she injured her neck when she fell.

Ursila Wilson, then 44, was aboard a bus in Lauderdale Lakes. Wilson claimed she was standing near the front of the bus holding onto an overhead bar when the driver suddenly hit the brakes, causing her to fall to the floor. Her attorney claimed video showed the driver eating a Jamaican beef patty while driving. The defense claimed this distracted him and caused him to drive with only one hand on the wheel.
