With Governor Rick Scott’s veto of an alimony overhaul bill, supporters will have to pin their hopes for change in the 2014 legislative session.
"We would like the opportunity to work with the governor’s office to more fully understand what he requires to allow for reform to occur," said a disappointed Alan Frisher, co-founder of Family Law Reform, the organization that shaped the bills sponsored by Representative Ritch Workman, R-Melbourne and Senator Kelli Stargel, R-Lakeland.
