Fort Lauderdale-based Greenspoon Marder, which bought Ruden McClosky’s assets in a bankruptcy sale, can collect an unpaid $323,000 legal bill, the Third District Court of Appeal ruled today.

"Contrary to the client’s assertion, the attorney’s charging lien was not seeking the payment of a contingency fee, but rather was for unpaid hourly fees," Third District Judge Leslie Rothenberg wrote.
