Miami’s ambulance fee for nonresidents has been ruled unconstitutional, and a class was certified that entitles members to damages dating back to 2007.

Miami-Dade Circuit Judge Marc Schumacher struck down a city ordinance that had been enforced for more than 20 years, finding the $100 fee for emergency medical paid for nothing and discriminated against other Florida residents’ right to intrastate travel.
