The Fourth District Court of Appeal reversed an award to an Allstate Insurance Co. policyholder injured by an uninsured motorist in a head-on collision based on improper closing arguments and cross-examination.

Allstate was granted a new trial Wednesday based on prejudicial closing comments and the questioning of a company expert witness by the policyholder’s attorneys at Searcy Denney Scarola Barnhart & Shipley in West Palm Beach.
