United Parcel Service Inc., a 106-year-old global shipping company, would not seem to fit the profile of a criminal enterprise, but an artist in Wellington wants a state appellate court to give her a chance to prove it is.
Ivana Vidovic Mlinar accused UPS of stealing original artwork — oil paintings titled Messenger and Advice — that she shipped to New York from Florida for a gallery show. Advice, a more valuable painting that she considered her masterpiece, was appraised at $20,000.
