The Florida Supreme Court on Monday approved the uncontested report of The Florida Bar referee in the case of Lake Worth attorney Timothy McCabe and ordered his permanent disbarment effective immediately.
McCabe is in federal custody awaiting trial for allegedly embezzling about $8 million from real estate clients. He has been under suspension since April. McCabe consented to voluntary disbarment.
