A jury found two truck drivers were not liable for the death of a man whose manlift was struck while he was painting an overpass.

Sakelarios Pavlos, 40, was operating a Genie S-80 telescopic manlift on I-75 at the Slater Road overpass in Lee County. A pickup driven by Scott Geisler struck the machine’s bucket, causing Pavlos to be ejected onto the pavement. A truck driven by Charles Wahlgren ran over his body. Pavlos died on the scene. The estate claimed both drivers failed to keep a proper lookout and did not keep their vehicles under control. It also claimed Geisler was speeding.
