An attorney representing Florida told a federal appellate panel Thursday that a voter purge targeting noncitizens actually does them a favor and should be performed up until election day.

The U.S. Court of Appeals for the Eleventh Circuit heard arguments in Miami over whether the state broke federal law in purging names of noncitizens from voter rolls within 90 days of the 2012 presidential election.
