Relying on a recent Florida Supreme Court decision, a Broward circuit judge refused to go forward with trial and instead granted an offshore insurance company almost $1 million in an aviation case.
Broward Circuit Judge Carlos Rodriguez granted an award of $600,000 damages plus eight years’ interest to Advantage General Insurance Co. Ltd. of the British Virgin Islands.
