Florida International University law dean Alexander Acosta, who joined the U.S. Century Bank board in October, was named its chairman effective Dec. 31, the troubled Doral-based bank said Thursday.
Acosta, a former U.S. attorney in Miami, replaces founding chairman Ramon E. Rasco, who has been on the board since the bank was established in 2002. Acosta remains in his role as FIU College of Law dean.
