A jury awarded $500,000 to a woman who claimed she was sexually assaulted by a tattoo artist.
The plaintiff identified only as Jane Doe, then 21, alleged the attack took place while Louis Augustin was tattooing her lower back at a Pompano Beach tattoo shop owned by Silva Black Inc. The woman claimed the unwanted sexual contact occurred after Augustin asked her to pull her pants down lower across her buttocks.
