In today’s business world, companies rely heavily on technology and electronically stored information to communicate and complete transactions, resulting in huge volumes of documents when litigation ensues. The resulting discovery issues were so widely felt that the Federal Rules of Civil Procedure were amended to address issues specifically related to discovery of ESI, or e-discovery.

While these amendments reflect the necessity of regulating e-discovery, new and novel technology breakthroughs are now allowing lawyers and their clients to manage and complete the process more efficiently and at lower costs.
