Gov. Rick Scott on Tuesday suspended North Miami Mayor Lucie Tondreau following her indictment on federal mortgage fraud charges.
Tondreau and three others have been charged with six counts of wire fraud. Federal prosecutors accused the group of defrauding lenders of $8 million by using straw buyers to obtain 20 fake mortgages.
