Miami real estate broker Cristiano Piquet said he’s been conned by a Brazilian businessman in a case that reads like a Hollywood spy thriller and involves claims of corporate espionage.

Piquet said he met Luis Pinto at a jiu-jitsu class last year. It appeared to be a chance encounter but was in fact part of an elaborate plot that could cost Piquet millions of dollars this year, according to a lawsuit filed Tuesday in Miami-Dade Circuit Court.
