A West Palm Beach-based hedge fund and its founder were charged Monday with fraudulently shifting money from one investment to another without informing investors in a $17 million fraud.
Weston Capital Asset Management LLC and its founder and president, Albert Hallac, were accused by the Securities and Exchange Commission of shifting the money to an investment firm known as Swartz IP Services Group Inc.
